FACEBOOK’S PARTNERSHIP WITH DUBAWA FOR FACT CHECKING IN NIGERIA
Facebook after launching its Third-Party Fact Checking program in partnership with Africa Check and AFP on October 16, 2018 announced on Monday, 4th February 2019 its third partner; Dubawa
Dubawa is a Nigerian fact-checking organisation, which is part of a global network of fact-checking organisation and it is certified by the non-partisan International Fact-Checking Network- Poynter.
The aim of this partnership is to improve the quality of news people find on Facebook’s platform by assessing the accuracy of news and reducing the spread of misinformation.
